DOOSAN HEAVY INDUSTRIES & CONSTRUCTION Co, LTD, a subsidiary of Doosan Group, is a heavy industrial company in South Korea established in 1962.

Its business includes manufacturing and construction of nuclear power plants, thermal power stations, turbines and generators, desalination plants, castings, and forgings. In 2013 they decided to enter the large gas turbine business.

In 2019 DOOSAN were ready to test the 270 MW, DGT6-300H unit. Doosan needed a high integrity bolt solution and decided to invite PILGRIM INTERNATIONAL LTD along with several other Bolt specialist companies to review and propose a bolting solution

Solution

On review of the specification, PILGRIM went to work providing a technically and commercially acceptable offer utilising Pilgrim’s Radial Fit Bolts (18 off), a Single Bolt Tensioning Kit and Hydraulic Hand Pump. In addition the requested delivery was less than 6 weeks from order placement.
